Key Challenges
Year over year AEG’s commitment to allowing an environmental non-profit aspect of the festival helped boost awareness of programming aiming to combat the impact such a large festival has on an otherwise, small town polo field. Through the creation of art recycling bins (which functioned as real recycling bins), the Polar Bear Mascots, allowing participants to literally turn in empty bottles to exchange for bottles of water, premium items, apparel and more, as well as through the creation of protest banners at the POSTed Studio and a wide variety of environmental activist speakers, created a collaborative feel-good exchange that enhanced the Coachella experience for 30 years.
